Adults aren't much better...

A lady looked really lost at Kennedy station, much like the first time I took the subway to work. I wondered which one to take because I didn't realize that both subway go in the same direction. That's what I get for driving most of my life. I approached the lady and offered my assistance. She was heading to Union Station to take VIA Rail to New York. Being the gentleman, I offered her the seat while I stood reading the daily newspaper. I took a seat at Woodbine station once that man sitting beside her got up. There was a period of silence before Broadview station because I was too caught up in reading the economic report. A woman in her 30s walked in with a big coat and high heels. She tripped over an old newspaper on the ground and fell on top of 30 boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts owned by the black gentleman sitting on the seat next to them. The gentleman caught her but was unable to bring her to her feet. I got up to help her out.

Now this next part becomes interesting...

Here is the dialogue to the best of my memory.

Profiles:
Women is White, in her mid 30s to early 40s
Man is black, in his mid 40s

Scenario - I had just helped the women to her feet and women just minds her own business.

Man: You should watch where your going. These doughnuts are no good anymore.

Women: If you had a heart, you would care more about the person than your doughnuts.

Man: I don't mind paying for this, but I caught your fall. The least you could do is say Sorry.

Women: (Ignores his comment and pretends she didn't hear anything)

Man: A mother like yourself should have more manners than that. I could understand a child but your a mother for god sakes.

.............

This was when I felt bad for the guy who had a couple of boxes of doughnuts flattened. I stepped in and confronted the lady but she had no intention of appologizing to this innocent man.
