Guilty as charged
So this Saturday afternoon, I was infromed by my parents that our green chrysler minivan was hit by another vehicle last weekend when my brother drove it to our grandmother's house. The suspect? - unknown. An hour later, the telephone rang. It was my grandmother, full of enthuiasm, she spoke those magic words, "We've caught the culprit!!" (in chinese) This was only possible thanks to my cousin Winston.
The Story...
So my aunt noticed that on Saturday, there was another car pulled up on the driveway of the house across the street. She decided to take a look and to her surprise, on the car's right rear bumper was a large scratch mark with pieces of paint that might have come from the crash. My aunt quickly went inside to talk with their neighbours. Of course, their neighbours denied such an event had ever happened. The situation seemed hopless because it could have been anyone. But then, my cousin came up with an idea. My grandmother took a camera and went to take a picture of the car along with the license plate. A couple of minutes later, a girl came out of the house and asked, "Can we not claim insurance?"
