Losing faith...

Lately, it seems to me that a lot of my friends are having a lot of trouble finding a place in this world. But what's more disturbing is the fact that many are troubled by what's around them, whether it be work or just dealing with family and friend issues.

Today, I was actually really disappointed because the students at the Bank were meeting after work. One of them, whom I know well enough told me to call her after work so that she could inform me where everyone else is. So I give her a buzz at 6:30 and get this busy number and her voice mail. I left a message and in the mean time, continued to read my PFPC book. Half an hour later, I call again and left another message. One hour later, I told myself, forget it. Not only was I annoyed at the fact that I didn't receive a call back, but I had missed my GO train for this event.

Taking the GO was interesting because I got on the GO Bus at 7:30, and as the bus took off and was driving under the Gardiner Expressway, a man got up and out the bus. I was getting worried and asked the lady sitting next to me. I was told that the bus was heading to Square One. I got off that bus just before the bus went up the ramp towards the expressway. Quickily, I ran back to the station to get on the bus to Unionville that leaves at 7:40. This time, I asked the driver where the bus was going before I got on.

It got more interesting when I reached the Unionville Station because I didn't know where that station actually was. I asked around and found out that it's just the station on Kennedy and Steeles, right across from BMW. This was my first time taking the YRT because I usually take the TTC. Because I had a GO pass, the fare is only 25 cents. I took the Kennedy south bus and missed my stop at Dennison, the bus driver was nice enough to give me a ride back there. I wasn't really in a hurry anyways. The bus driver had asked me, "How long have you lived here?" Of course, I replied, "Thirteen years!" The bus driver chuckled at my comment.

Getting back to my topic of discussion. I think that the most important thing no matter what we do is to believe. Believe that we can do it no matter how impossible. Give it our best shot, despite all those who want you to fail. Believe, and faith will follow. I remember a saying, "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land among the stars"
