It has been a really crazy day. I woke up this morning to check out the market before I left for my first interview at 9:00am. I put on my suit this morning before walking to campus, I don't know why but I regret after I got there because it was such a hot day.
I had back to back interviews, first with TD for the position of Pricing Analyst. The job seemed very interesting and suit my needs and capabilities very well. The interviewer went through many of the responsibilities that the job entails and what seems interesting was the development of the eagle software that is supposed to help with the pricing of different banking products. Too bad I ran out of time and had to end the interview early because of another interview right after with Microsoft. The Mid-Market Coop position there is a marketing position that uses datamining to design marketing strategies. I think the interviewer was most impressed by my answers to his questions. I think I gave strong responses backed by experience which I think is one of my competitive advantages. The pay there is not to shabby when I asked about compensation but less than what i was paid last term. However, what I'm looking for is more experience but a raise would also be nice. The interview was a little over the limit but overall a good performance.
Rushing to class wasn't fun in a suit. Too bad i didn't bring clothing to change because the afternoon heat was almost unbarable. I was late 10 minutes for my CO 350 class but luckily was able to catch up on-time. I also had a midterm at 1:00 for BU 247. The midterm had 18 multiple choice questions each worth 2% of my final mark. I can honestly say that I didn't really study for this midterm. All i did was do the practise midterm. Therefore, I can attribute everything to god if I did well on it.
Dinner was amazing, I had dinner with a friend whom I havn't had dinner with since our last school term. We caught up on old times and what has been going on lately. Shared some memories and really thought about why we're in school and in our programs. An evening well spent.
