Retreat 2004
I had a lot of time to think about myself this weekend. Thinking about why I am here today. About my good and bad qualities that I have and how to improve myself. This was all because of the retreat that I went on this long weekend. I had such a good time there that I didn't really want to leave today. We had a water fight with Grace Christian Gospal Church. I remember preping all the 200+ water balloons and the 3 water guns. A few of us were already soaked before the competition because we started fighting when we were preparing the balloons. It started with Bernice and Candy attacking me, but then more and more people got involved and we had most of the fellowship being soaked before we had the water fight with the other church. That same day, we went hiking in groups. We were taken to many forks in the road but we made some really good decisions and was able to get by most of the obstacles. There was sharing, quiet time and bible study everyday and gave me a chance to get to know brothers and sisters a lot more. The first night there, Peter, Jeff, Perkin and I played bridge till 3 am and then had a chat for an hour before we slept. During the second night, a lot of us were tired by the time we had bed-side fellowhip. I think that night, I gained the most because everyone shared their deepest thoughts. Today, I served by leading singspiration, it felt so good that I could finally stand up there and say something. I led the songs "footsteps", "Born from his heart" and "serpent king". When it was time to go, I was saddened because of the time and memories of spending time together.
